Winsock access without sacrificing performance
SocketQ C++ Classes are designed exclusively for creating high-performance network client and server applications on Windows using Winsock sockets. SocketQ achieves this by using Overlapped I/O — the fastest data-transfer method available on all of its target platforms.
The component includes many performance-oriented features while still providing a simple interface. It is delivered in native source code form with no .lib file, making it straightforward to integrate and debug directly within your C++ project.
Because SocketQ is a source-code-only product, there is no demo version. The component has been tested with Microsoft Visual C++ and Borland C++ Builder, and can only be used within a C++ application.
Licensing & Requirements
- One licence required per development machine
- Runtime distribution is royalty-free
- Requires Winsock 2.0

What SocketQ provides
Overlapped I/O Model
Built around Overlapped I/O — the fastest data-transfer method available on all target platforms — for maximum throughput in high-bandwidth network applications.
Multi-Threaded Send, Receive & Connect
Sending, receiving, and connecting all support multithreading, enabling the highest levels of efficiency in concurrent network applications.
High-Performance File Transmission
Send a file with one line of code using the OS internal file cache, consuming the absolute minimum system resources. Queue multiple files via TransmitByFileName without waiting for each to finish.
Asynchronous & Synchronous Connections
Supports both asynchronous and synchronous connection modes, each with a configurable timeout value to suit your application's requirements.
Multi-Homed & Alias Support
Works correctly on machines with multiple IP addresses and supports multiple aliases, making it suitable for complex network environments.
Full Winsock Socket Options
Provides access to all Winsock-supported socket options for fine-grained connection customisation, along with configurable receive buffers.
Native C++ Source Code
Delivered as native 32-bit C++ source code with no .lib file. Easy to integrate and debug directly within your project — no black-box binary.
Royalty-Free Distribution
Applications built with SocketQ can be distributed to end users at runtime with no royalties. One licence per development machine covers all your deployments.
Supported deployment operating systems
Applications built with SocketQ can be deployed on the following Windows versions.
